Hi all I am trying to implement miniaturized microstrip antenna using CST from the paper "Design of A Reconfigurable Miniaturized Microstrip Antenna for Switchable Multiband Systems". Using the same dimensions specified in the paper when I trying to implement the structure in CST Studio, I am not getting the exact result as specified.
I have done the simulation multiple times but I am unable to get the result. Please tell me if there is any error in my CST files, I am attaching the same here for various different conditions (a,b,c,d,e) as specified in the paper.
I would be cautious. The currents shown in figure 2 are wrong. The caption says that all the antennas are symmetrical, but the currents are not. That doesn't mean they are completely wrong and useless, but it does mean they are wrong. If your currents are symmetrical then you may get different results, and they may be closer to the truth.
In figure 6 there are what I assume to be bias wires joined to the "ground" structure. These need to be modelled. The "ground" structure is not actually ground but is a resonant microwave structure and those wires will almost certainly significantly affect its resonances and the performance of the antenna.
This antenna is not a microstrip patch antenna, it is a patch monopole in a conducting frame with a resonant structure behind it. It will radiate as an electric monopole from the currents on its surfaces, not as two magnetic dipoles from the slots at either end, which a microstrip patch does.
Thanks a lot Malcom White and Ahmed Jamal Abdullah Al-Gburi, my problem is not about the paper. I am only interested about the CST files that I have posted, is those files are correct or I need to do some modifications in the same.
