The report is not backed up by any publication, whether formal or informal, let stand confirmed by a professional physicist active in the field of superconductivity. The highest reported Tc is in sulfur hydride H3S at high pressures (~145GP) at 203K (reported last September - see the attached publication in which references 2 and 3 correspond the highest reported Tc in cuprate superconductors).

Regarding superconductivity in cuprates, on 18 August 2016 Nature published a very interesting work by I Božović, X He, J Wu, and AT Bollinger, the link to which I also attach below. I attach also a link to a report on this paper by Phys.org.

The possibility of finding superconductivity at normal temperature is not ruled out as per its first quantization theory which finds true superconducting state

One may find that the true superconducting state differs significantly from BCS theory, although it too finds that basic origin of stability of superconducting state lies with energy gap which was also concluded by BCS theory. However it is important to note that the real mechanism of gap also differs significantly from that concluded by BCS theory.

I urge all interested scientists for establishing this theory by open discussion and constructive suggestion/ criticism in the interest of developing the subject in the right direction and making pointed efforts for finding new superconductors and superconductors which exhibit superconductivity at room temperature.
