Hello,
I am performing intramyocardial cell injections in porcine heart and would like to "mark" the injection areas so that I can see them by naked eye and make it more efficient to process the area of tissue that was injected. Otherwise I would be sectioning/staining an entire pig heart "hoping" to find my injected cells, which is very tedious.
I am aware of "tissue marking dyes" but I believe they contain ammonium and formaldehyde which would be toxic to live pig myocardium over 7-28 days. Fluorescent cell trackers are also an option but I would like to actually see the injection site with my naked eye once the tissue is excised without using a fluorescent microscope.
Is this possible? Any strategy recommendations?
Thanks,
Ryan
