Concerning the use of the neural networks in function approximation we use the batch training techniques to generalize and identify a unknown function, but can we do that in online training ?, can someone please explain to me what is the good of online training and its applications.
Online training adapts its operators during the search. It is worth trying as it should optimise the neural network.
@Patrica Ryser-Welch Do it need a prior training "offline" ,i tied to use online training but it didn't give me good results as the batch training , but i noticed when i train the neuron offline first , the online adaptation works fine keeping the error close to Zero ,what do you think about that ?!
First of all if you wish to know about more online training I would recommend you this paper. This paper focuses on SM-CGP, an online method for generating CGP graph. Those share some common points with neural networks.

I would recommend you to review your fitness function for your neural network. The training may "interpret" it as a finding a function with a solution close to zero.
Thank you Patricia Ryser-Welch i found the problem with my code , it was the order of instructions that's all and they are both work just fine Batch and online
