Dear @Ra'ed, participation in international conferences has many advantages. Sharing knowledge and research experience, finding future partners for research ... more chances, right?
The two are important and have different objectives. National conferences allow to diseminate your research to a more local audience where probably the results are more important and make more sense (depend on your research topics) as well as collaborate con researchers from your country. Attending international conferences allow you to know about other approaches in different countries, know other researchers, exchange knowledge and results, foster collaborations, etc.

First of all - the question needs to be rephrased as
"International Conferences in home nation or abroad - which is better?"
I rephrased it this way because many of the so-called "National Conferences", which I see in India, are not peer-reviewed and just conducted for the sake of some conference activity. Some of the National Conferences have very good key-note talks (by my friends also), but overall the paper quality is not very satisfactory. I have given long comments about detecting and preventing plagiarism in another thread. I see many plagiarised papers, papers written in poor English, and low-quality papers with technical errors or making no new contributions.
International Conferences in home nation with IEEE Xplore or Springer Proceedings are very attractive because the Registration Fees are affordable and we get to improve our publication record. I regularly take part in IEEE Conferences related to Control Engineering in India and deliver some Keynote talks and chair some technical sessions in addition to presenting some contributed papers with my Vel Tech colleagues. These days, I'm working on chaos and control, and I also like to return to resume my work on linear and nonlinear control systems, computational science, modelling etc.
International Conferences in home nation involve less travel and cost-wise economical. I have many friends in many cities in India, and as Editor-in-Chief of many control journals, I regularly travel to conduct control and computer science / IT conferences in India. The interest shown by young faculty in India are amazing. We get some foreign visitors also from China, Taiwan, Tunisia, South Africa, UAE etc., and they take off some time to tour India. Some of the Conferences I involve myself invole "day-tour" after the Conferences, and this promotes good culture to interact with the delegates.
International Conferences abroad - especially the ones organized by IEEE Socities - are very good in quality and papers are published in IEEE Xplore, and we get to meet peers and eminent professors in this Conference. Their plenary talks and special workshops help us to learn subjects quite fast. We can learn things better from live talks rather than library books in my view. (In my free time, I watch YouTube lectures by good Professors to learn subjects and also to improve my teaching skills).
International Conferences abroad are costly - especially Registration and Travel. This is why it is important for you to do funded research or work in a good University. In India, for the faculty working in IITs and NITs, the Registration Fees, Travel, Accommodation etc are sponsored by the home Institutes (but 1 conference per year as I understand). If you are doing a good project, you may use the project budget to make your travel. My thesis guide, Dr. Chris Byrnes, travelled to many countries using his research grants.
Finally, please don't take this as "Either" / "Or". Kindly attend good International Conferences in both home nation AND abroad, make good research contacts, identify people working in your research areas, start collaborations and plan to publish in good journals.
I can add more - but I guess I have covered some basic points - so will stop here!
I think the the conference has to be relevant to the researcher's field of interest is more important than whether the conference is national or international.
Attending conferences is always good because of the opportunity it provides to build relationships. But it also means the cost whether you can afford it. If your institution supports then it will be good. If not then you have to decide what are your objectives and how much you are willing to spend for the purpose. These days international conferences are becoming expensive and institutional support is dwindling. Since networking purpose, there are alternatives routes such as RG, LI, etc. so you need to decide your choices.
For me, certainly, international conferences are better: as Estonia's population is only 1.3 million, only a few Estonian researchers are interested in my topic. So, when I go abroad, I can share my ideas with more people. At such conferences, I have also found co-authors for my papers and also people interested in co-operating in research projects.
Every researcher has to communicate his research in international forums. Otherwise there is a danger not to be noticed, or even get a proper refereeing.
An international conference is much important than the national conference. Even in some promotion systems, the researcher is given more points for international conference.
In our country, if the expenses are covered most of the scholars prefer to attend international conferences to broaden the horizons but if there is no financial support for the trip abroad, then there is one choice " national conferences". So the first type is a wish while the other type is what we usually have !
For sure, international conferences are beneficial in that several new ideas and concepts are discussed and one cultivate them oneself. However, it is rare to find research of high standard in any conference. However, exposure to new ideas and problems are important effect of these conferences.
Most faculty have very limited travel funding. My annual travel budget is $1,500, U.S. currency. Therefore, it is best to attend as many conferences as possible within your allotted budget. Most local regional conferences will be less expensive. So, it is best to attend quality conferences that are within your budget limits. I can normally attend two conferences within my budget.
However, if you are presenting a paper that has international appeal, present it at an international conference but be sure you can afford the costs.
I also agree with the scholars above, that international conferences are better because of the broad exposure for your research and the good will you can bring to your respective university.
Scope and wide vision on the focus and on the environment
both National and International cover both but the limitation is only on the INCLUSION of expertise - Local or Universal. With the Technology revolution Global participation through virtual presentations have removed this divide.
