Since many years NAFLD has been a matter of study all over the world. NAFLD has been well identified in all medical databases. Strategies for diagnosis and treatment have been reccommended using this nomenclature. Recently a group of experts has proposed the change of name of this entity to MAFLD (metabolic associated fatty liver disease). The reasons for this change undoubtedly have bases. Nevertheless a change of name of a very frequent disease still in the way of study may be a cause of confusion.

Do you think is it the time of change of the name of this disease? Will MAFLD nomenclature progress gaining acceptance?
