Filters: Butterworth or Chebyshev.

Sampling frequency: ~500 Hz.

Passband: depends on study focus (1-30+ Hz).

if i am taking data from chbmit scalp eeg data there are so many edf files how many i have to use from it if i have to do faeture extraction and classification in matlab

For CHB-MIT scalp EEG data, start with a few files (e.g., 5-10) for initial feature extraction and classification in MATLAB. Adjust based on results and computational resources.
