Before I used the TiO2 nanofiber for photocatalytic test purposes, I used that TiO2 in powder (after the sol-gel process) for a photocatalytic test to ensure this TiO2 worked to degrade the dye solution. And it's worked to degrade the methyl orange almost 60% in 1hr.

After the electrospinning process (add with 12wt% PVA) to make the nanofiber form, the sample cannot degrade the 10ppm methyl orange although all the parameter that was used is the same as earlier (powder form). Besides that, when I put the nanofiber web (after peeling off from aluminum foil) in MO dye solution, the nanofiber shrunk.

What is the suitable condition of nanofiber for photocatalytic degradation? Is the nanofiber web (peel off from aluminum foil) of nanofiber on a glass substrate?
