Not in all cases u can manage the energy consumption but its depend upon the feasibility and the targets of this invention in compare with the required energy consumption

perhaps yes, like dummy loads that are used for gas turbines. but it is very rare. there are limits on Pmin generated with steam and gas turbine plants, but another question comes next, why we should use dummy load rather than turning off the power station or keeping it as reserve?
yes, this can be possible to some extent by doing power quality analysis, and one can do one exercise of putting a smart meter in the place of our regular meter and see the energy consumption, for a whole month and you can manhage the energy consumption at very great extent
from economical perspective u can take into your consideration the excessive in amount of energy consumption for this invention but for others consideration like high level technical or scientific achievement for special application , then the excessive in energy consumption will be not considerable.
