Hello,

I'm currently conducting a SR and meta-analysis on the effect of basil on fasting blood glucose (FBG) in animal models of diabetes. Many studies test different concentrations of basil (i.e. 100, 200, 400 mg/ml) and also record the FBG over a period of time. My question is whether it is acceptable to include all doses and time points in the same meta-analysis? From my understanding, the same doses recorded at multiple time points will be from the same group of animals, which means this data itself will have some sort of correlation possibly effecting the overall effect size. I haven't been able to find any previous studies where this has been recorded but if I don't include all doses and time points, would I be omitting data?

thanks!
