I recently get this response for our manuscript from editor ;
-there is no correction for multiple comparison (that may result in a determination that the only significant factor out of 7 is not significant)
But we conducted linear mixed model in two treatment group; how could ı adjusted multiple comparisons in lineer mixed-model in two groups?
I would appreciate if any expertized suggestion for this problem.
If you have 7 p-values, say .02, .06, .10, .15, .2, .3, .4, then adjust these. For example, in R
p.adjust(c(.02, .06, .10, .15, .2, .3, .4))
which produces
[1] 0.14 0.36 0.50 0.60 0.60 0.60 0.60
using its default Holm's procedure. But of course there are a lot of issues wrt applying different adjustments and when adjusting is appropriate.
