I have been thinking for a little while about multi attribute visual displays that makes sense and are interpretable within an instant. In a spider-chart display where you plot different service attributes along each other and you would try to evaluate the plot that covers most of what service users want. i.e. has the most common ground of all required attibutes. Would you just use visual overlay or is there also a difference stats analyses you can use? Below are 2 graphs?

Also have you seen any papers that reference such multi attribute analyses and communication to service users?

Also I wonder could you calculate the amount of colour used to cover each spider gram. This would then be a continuous variable rather than 6 or 8 individual scales? So you would have an amount of attributes covered per service evaluation as your outcome variable. How would I calculate that?
