Does anyone know where I can find the original patient information for the MPNST cell lines ST88-14, NF-90, STS26T, and S462? I found the original papers; however, they do not tell me what gender the patients were that provided the tumors for the cell lines.
Unfortunatly, like you I could not find this information which I wanted to add to the relevant Cellosaurus entries. Furthermore there are no STR profiles for all these cell lines :-(
There are only a few MPNST cell lines with age/gender info. These are:

I will try to get the original authors of the cell lines that you mention to provide this information. But I generally only get less than 50% success on such information requests!

I managed to find a paper that contains a supplemental figure with a number of MPNST and Schwanomma cell lines STR profiles:

It does not provide any info on age, but by the fact that ST88-14 has Amelogenin X,Y, it means its from a male patient. For S462 and STS-26T there is no "Y" allele: but this could either mean that the patients are female or that the "Y" chromosome was lost. Something which happens not so infrequently in cancer cell lines but I fo not know if its frequent in MPNST.
