1. I'm working on a Salmonella quatitative microbial risk assessment and would like to enumerate using the most probable number method. Does anyone have the complete protocol to share? I would really appreciate this
2. I'm having trouble with incubator space requirements and thinking of alternative ways to go about the MPN procedure. Is it possible to pellet and freeze the cells in the BPW pre-enrichment matrix, freeze these at -80 in TSB with 15% glycerol to reconstitute later and carry out the MPN at a different institute that has space?

Have you considered using the miniaturized MPN method? It's been used before and cuts down on media and incubator space requirements.
