I am trying to model the behavior of a microscale cantilever beam (or can be fixed-fixed) immersed in a viscous fluid basically to understand the resonance behavior and perform some strain calculations. How can I go about doing this? Can it be done on Abaqus? Or do I have to use something else? Any sources or materials with regard to this will be really helpful.

You can add lumped masses and dashpots to each dof of the immersed beam. In this way the effect of the surrounding water can be taken into account. Regarding the added masses, see also the option *BEAM FLUID INERTIA.
