Don't use c=0, use some small value like 0.5 or 1. Hopefully your model will run for c=0.5 (example).

Small value of C does not impact the output of your problem. For example C = 0.1, there will be very little impact on the soil properties.

I suggest that if you could try to increase the value of shear resistance angle of soil (Phi) and re-run your model. If your model will reach the equilibrium, it can be said that the model with previous value phi fails or collapses before reaching the equilibrium.

Note that assigning the MC model to soil property will give not actual deformation you observe during the lab test.

If you want to look into the state of stress at various stages, use the MC model.

If you are looking for actual deformation in the soil, use the Hardening model.

Moreover, a change in the level of state of stress of a point in soil mass will change with the advancement of the simulated test, and phi value will not be constant.

If you are are trying to validate your numerical model to actual lab test, use a different model that takes care of the fact that friction angle is a function of the state of stress at that point.
