I am writing a paper with a questionnaire named SFUS (published by other researchers in another language) about social media usage. After the EFA, 2 factors were identified, namely Display Usage and Interact Usage. Next, the CFA indices were good, all above .90. But the factor loadings of 3 items were lower than .60 (picture below). If I delete the Item about messaging (F2_Mes), then the Interact Usage subscale will be nonsense as interaction should include messaging. Luckily, I also have another scale measuring social media usage that performed well in CFA.

Should I say in the paper that "after surviving EFA, SFUS did not survive the CFA, thus, this questionnaire was abandoned and only one questionnaire measuring social media usage was left for further analysis"?
