Puh, this question is very hard to explain, so I try my best:
I want to combine all my previous biology projects in a sort of organic computing device (neuronal network miniking), that regulates the nutrientition of bioluminescent bacteria, this could be called a mega project. For this I need a power source which has also to be biological, preferably something like a microbial fuel cell, the problen will be that I need high currents (0,5A) over a period of about 10mins a day, which would be nearly impossible for a mfc. I wondered, whether there are any technologies that combine high power creation and microbial power? I thought about using hydrogen generating bacteria and a normal fuel cell, but this is not my first choice.

Hopefully somebody will get back to you with a suggestion of microbial fuel cells that meet your requirement. Nevertheless, our group (of Serge Cosnier) works mostly on enzymatic biofuel cells, predominiantly glucose/oxygen bioconversion. Maybe these could be an alternative to investigate?
500 mA is a lot of current but as you say, if the demand is periodic, actually the continuous power delivery of the cell is capable of meeting this demand.
At present I am working on paper biofuel cells, and these are capable of producing just under 1 mA.cm^-2 at 0.6 V for a day. Some of our other technologies produce greater power densities.
