I am trying to mesh a Post Tensioned Slab with 2 parabolic ducts in it. Since the duct goes parabolic i am unable to obtain Structured mesh.
I have attached the ABAQUS model and a screenshot of the slab.
Does anyone has any suggestion how can i do better meshing
this is simple!. what you need to do is following:
1) meshing the first face of the parabolic solid and mesh the second face exactly the same or copy the first face and translate it to the second face(end of plate.
2) after having 2D faces mesh connect them with spline line or lines at the edge and then sweep the face mesh to the other face, now you have the parabolic with as Solid 3D element.
3) generate the mesh of the rest of the part(Face to be meshed= face of square - face of barabolic)connect the 2d elements at the faces and then extrude along the spline to the other face by following the mesh of parabolic edge!.

Dear Sir,
I am unable to get exactly what you exactly mean by " Face of Parabolic Solid". To be clear, the slab is rectangular but the duct in it, is parabolic. Like how a post tensioned slab would like like if the tendon is removed from it.
It will be great help if you can do it on the abaqus model i have attached or please explain it through sketch.

its an unbonded post tensioned slab.
I have created a parabolic hole inside the slab. I am trying to mesh it but the mesh i am getting is not structured due to changing hole position inside the slab. So i gave "tet" mesh but then its giving convergence problem.
Can you please help?

as i said structured mesh is possible see Picture attached. This mesh can be morphed to elliptical or parabolic shape easly.
Please do not attach me any Model to mesh it. i can not do such thing from my work and i am not allowed to do such thing. Unfortunalty i do not have software at home to work on your Model.
