Most of the wastewater treatment systems uses this anionic polymer (0.5 ppm) during the treatment system but noone discloses the name of this polymer. If anybody knows this polymer name, please share. We need to use cheap polymer and also it would be better if it is a naturally available one

I guess that the undisclosed polymer, that is used for efficient wastewater treatment, is polyacrylamide which is made by the method of anionic polymerization of its "solid" acrylamide monomer.
I do not think that it is the polyacrylamide that is made by free radical polymerization which is an easy to get polymer ( I remember that one of my dear supervisors told me, jokingly, long time ago that you can polymerize it by just looking at it !).
Why the anionic polymer & not the radical polymer? Because the anionic tends to be uncoiled & it usually has a relatively higher average molecular mass than the radical counterpart.
