I am searching for the melting Point/ ranges of two High Entropy Alloys, I am working with. The compositions are AlTiCuFeCrNi and AlTiCuFeNi. I need to do homogenization of these samples, for which I need melting point of these samples.
Patil, I advice you to heat them separately in a furnace and take their melting points instead of relying on literature. Most often the quoted values in literature do not coincide with what is obtainable when you go to bench because of variations in instruments and operational procedures.
I agree with Joseph, experimentally determined values are safer. Thermocalc and other similar software may not extrapolate well for high entropy alloys. A Thermomechanical Analysis (TMA) machine can measure such properties up to 1550oC, with high temperature furnaces.
