According to the literature, (Applied spectrosopy, Volume 47, Number 6, 1993), I should have got an absorption maxima at 240nm.. 1 had taken 1:1 ratio of citric acid and lanthanum chloride but my experiment was unsuccessful.
This reference seems to be good.. I could understand many things from this paper.. thanks a lot
