i think generally Scientists expirment new materials and systems to achieve a better performance, so has the limit been reached? and do you think it will be?

This is the reason why microcontrollers resp microprocessors are currently not getting significantly faster but instead get multiple cores. And supercomputers consist of thousands of cores.
Regarding your original question: for an individual core we haven't yet reached the physical limit, but we are not far from that. But we have already found a way out: parallelism.
So: yes - "computers" can continue to get faster.
