Assuming we have very detailed DTM Data about surface around lets say a glacier impending to fall into a lake resulting in a deadly outburst flood (GLOF).
a) Forecasting the hazard of this melting glacier one could predict the ice-thickness.

Change detection, anomaly detection, depending on the purpose of your study. However, looking at what ArcPro offers, you can look at image segmentation, classification. Random forests are also available for classifying and predicting multi-class application. It ultimately boils down to your study. Perhaps jot down what ML or DL technique you are interested in or look at what seems feasible for your study.
For the case of using digital terrain data, one can derive many products which could be fed into a ML pipe line. These terrain relief products can then be used to identify ordinarily obscured features, especially for archeological investigation and geological prospecting ( when combined with mineral maps, for instance ). For example, one could train on selected sample areas containing volcanic pipes, or impact craters, and then use that to identify other prospects at a regional scales, even though heavily eroded.
