Hi everyone,
I am trying to simulate a drop test using honeycomb aluminium with LS Dyna, but after the impact, the cask bounces instead of kept crushed. I understand than it is possible to rebound a little but not take off from the ground several inches.
Which property in the LS DYNA mat modified honeycomb (126) controls this behavior?

There are many factors which influence the spring back of the material. In general, bouncing back indicates that the deformation is more of Elastic.
(Elastic region, you remove the load and the material will go back to its original length).
Try to reduce the value of SigY. I hope this helps.
