I would like to extend the MoBI network here on RG and invite researchers that work with either mobile EEG or Mobile Brain/Body Imaging approaches to better understand the brain in more ecological recording conditions.
Would it be of interest to extend a project to create a MoBI/mobile EEG network on RG?

I'm interested in the dynamics and future of this technology for health and therapy but haven't graduated yet.
I'm interested as well, as I think this is a great opportunity.
I am happy to see several people being interested in such a MoBI / mobile EEG network.
I would envision a network of people working with mobile EEG and/or Mobile Brain/Body Imaging approaches to investigate human and non-human cognition in different domains. This network can serve the distribution of new publications in this field but also for networking regarding exchange of protocols, analyses scripts, job opportunities, conferences and many more aspects that are of value for the scientific community. And of course it would be a great outlet to show what is possible when thinking outside the EEG-box.
There are several options to establish such a network and regarding RG, the easiest would be to
1) simply invite everyone interested in this network to join the already existing RG project https://www.researchgate.net/project/Mobile-Brain-Body-Imaging-MoBI-the-Berlin-Mobile-Brain-Body-Imaging-Lab-BeMoBIL
This might be advantageous because there is an existing project for this topic with several updates and literature that was added over the last years. However, this might come with potential caveats and I am not sure whether I understand the dynamics of RG regarding the impact of your contributions for your own profile (e.g., whether all posts and discussion you share through this network will be associated with our profile).
2) A second option would be to create a new project (MoBI / mobile EEG or mobile EEG / MoBI) with two or possibly more moderators leading the project and checking new applicants before being accepted as part of the network (based on criteria that have yet to be determined).
3) other options regarding efficient networking inside and outside of RG (hope I don’t get blocked again for this comment) for which I am also open.
So please let me know which option you prefer most and also whether you have better alternatives outside RG.

OK - so then let's try the first solution for now and maybe other option develop along the was.
I tried to invite all of you who responded to this discussion. If you did not receive any update to have joined the MoBI project, please let me know and send me your email. Sometimes it seems difficult to include collaborators or find/mention people on RG even though they do have an account and username.
Please add your research that is clearly related to mobile EEG and/ or Mobile Brain/Body Imaging in case you think it is suitable.
More importantly, however, I think would be real networking activities like announcements (LSL workshops, MoBI or mobile EEG symposia on upcoming conferences or finding people to submit such symposia for future conferences.
And of of course, start mingling up to have drinks whenever you are in a city with one of our MoBI collaborators.
