In particular, I ask for suggestions on how to perform a literature review/review of practices of data management systems, both generally speaking and/or within the context mentioned above.
Simply put, are any particular key words but "data management system* that suit this research area?

You can conduct key word searches in article data bases. This can be done in a systematic manner. If you are not finding the the type of discussion you are looking for, try different search terms.

in addition to that

would get you started. From there on you would understand where to look for more focused.
seems to me that (database management system) is proper for your work. and any references in the field of Information Technology or Management Information System or Database, in addition to Production information system would be useful for your literature review.. not to mention that 3d printing or additive manufacturing and rapid prototype are also relevant..regards
Use key words such as ‘data management system’ or ‘data management’ and you will be ok. Then depending on your research interest you can narrow down the keywords you will be finding from these articles.

I think it can be also a good idea to consider research topics such as Management Information Systems or one of today research trends, Big Data, since they affect Product Data Management and Data Management in general greatly.
