Hello everyone!
I have been researching for some time now but I do not seem able to finde articles about the effectiveness of leadership styles for different jobs.
Do you know any for example meta-review that compares different leadership styles for different job types.
I can imagine that there is a difference in the leadership style effectiveness depending on the job type that is being investigated (e.g. workers, health care professionals, construction workers etc.)
I am grateful for any literature recommendation.

I think it was Rensis Likert who suggested that a switch was needed from the generally effective mode of leadership of vision setting plus delegation to a more authoritarian style when rapid change is underway or when in crisis or difficulty. In my experience this is correct but I am afraid I can't refer to any modern liiterature. The idea of course goes right back to Shakespeare (but when the breath of war blows in our ears, imitate the action of the tiger), Machiavelli and so on. There must be something out there to substantiate this, if I find something I shall post it. Anyway it is a good working hypothesis.
