This is a very relevant question that you have asked that whether COVID-19 is becoming less aggressive or not.
Actually in most countries the number of tests have increased a lot. That is why, when one is calculating the percentage of number of infected patients to number of tests conducted, the denominator is going on increasing. So the result is decreasing. This is just a game of simple mathematics. Otherwise, in most countries the number of cases have increased.
When it comes to your second question, that if this virus is getting to the abdomen from lungs, at least there is no medical evidence in any part of the world. This is because if this virus is reaching the abdomen then symptoms will change a lot. But that has not been recorded anywhere in the world.
