I tried to prepare MgZn-LDH coating on Cu substrate hydrothermally with base NaOH and Na2CO3. In my powder XRD spctrum the characteristics peaks 2thetta around 11and 23 degree did not come. How will i expalin?
The indexing on the PXRD looks a little odd - what structure do the 211 & 101 reflections correspond to? Clearly the Cu peaks are retained through all of your samples & in the hybrids are in fact the dominant features. This would imply that the amount of non-Cu material present is relatively very little. If you are looking for peaks at 11 & 23 degrees from your MgZn coating, then I would imagine that you need to zoom right. From what I can see from this figure, even with a high zoom, there is very little there. Conclusion therefore is either that the amount of MgZn material present is too little to get a significant signal, your coating is not crystalline, or it is simply not present.
