I am wondering if there are any larger scale fluidised beds (diameter > 50 cm) with a porous plate, so no perforated plate, no nozzles, just a porous plate. We have a fluidised bed of 23 cm internal diameter with a porous plate but i look for really larger size reactors. How does the fluidisation compare between large and small scale, with focus on segregation behaviour, is it alltogether feasible to install a porous distributor plate in a commercial fluidised bed combustor?
