Hello, can anyone tell me if the Ansys CFX software uses the Particle-Source-In-Cell (PSI-C) schema for the Lagrangian particle tracking, I am simulating spray (liquid particle dispersion)?
Lagrangian tracking is inefficient and very slow. It is also pointless in a CFD (i.e., discrete) flow field. Hamiltonian tracking is far superior. You can get the program (PTRAX) for free, which handles 2D/3D FEM/FDM/FVM elements, diffusion and/or dispersion. It can handle multiple particle species, mass, concentration, and decay rates. It even creates animations of particle positions and concentrations. It's extensively documented and validated (all available free online). An Ebook on particle tracking is free on these days: 12/17/19, 12/25/19, 1/2/20, 1/10/20, 1/18/20. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XRWKS6H
