Thrombofilia is a state related to genetic abnormalities (mutations related to protein S, protein C and so on) but also an acquired status linked to CKD. Thrombus formation and the use of anticoagulants is necessary in many patients in dialysis (mainly children, who are catheter-dependent for HD). How should we anti-coagulate these patients? How will it be for the pre-op just a few hours before transplantation?
