In my wear simulation, I need to define 18000 cycles. Defining the numerous cycles take much time, so it is not possible to utilize the regular method. I found a paper about high cycles fatigue that the authors used the Jump-in-cycles algorithm.
I did not find more things about this algorithm. Can you help me how define this algorithm in Abaqus for my wear simulation?

Actually, i don't know about theJump-In-Cycles but you can use algorithms using Matlab, after that, you can copy the results and paste them in the Abaqus with the regular method.

Indeed, it is a common practice to use jump-in-cycles when simulating cyclic wear. The idea behind it is relatively simple. It consists in assuming that wear is constant for a given number of cycles (jump factor). In this case, when simulating a wear cycle, you can perform standard wear computations (Archard’s law, for instance) and then multiply the results by a jump factor DN prior to update contacting geometries. For example, let’s say that you adopt a jump factor DN = 200 cycles in your problem. In this case, instead of simulating 18000 wear cycles, you would have to simulate only 18000/200 = 90 cycles. The choice of the jump factor has to be made judiciously. A convergence analysis might help you with that.

Your answer was reasonable, but I did not understand what to do exactly in my subroutine. I think I have to use Uexternal subroutine to apply this algorithm for my simulation. Is it possible for you to explain more?
