Maintaining a good journal must be difficult, The editors have to keep intact their audience. Efforts of all editors are much appreciated. However, the fact they are also humans cannot be ignored. They also have their specific preferences. I am struggling to publish my work in well-known journals but something strange one editor told me and that was "Your data has been collected in context of Pakistan, Pakistan has its dynamics, there are certain regulations which sets it apart from rest of the world; therefore you cannot generalize your results" My response was as per positivist viewpoint the reality is universal. She told me to submit to another journal. She helped me a lot, but I felt like there is an approach in the west that a study conducted on a small store of taxes is accepted as an update in existing theory, but findings from an Asian country are considered the Asia Pacific or supporting some-western author given theory

What do you think? Have you ever experienced this type of situation? Can Journal western editors be biased? Biased concerning accepting the research papers from underdeveloped or developed countries as a major theory particular in social sciences?

Note: Over here, my experience can be ignored because I am new in research, a beginner. I have to learn many things and the editors are helping me a lot. Also English is not my first language. but, I think, the idea must be accepted does not matter where it is coming from, if its following all methodologies and is based on positivism world view. Looking forward to hearing your experiences.
