I've my Gold Nanorods in solution form and I have to conjugate them with drugs. They remain in solution form after conjugation. Now for MTT assay for drug delivery on cancer cell lines, I am finding concentrations to be in micro grams, and I don't know how to convert my formulations to micrograms. Kindly enlighten me on this?

You must have used a certain molarity of HAuCl4 for the synthesis of gold nanorods. If the yield i.e. conversion of Au3+ to Au(0) is 100% (its usually less than 100%, and depends sensitively on the synthesis protocol), the molarity of Au is the same as that of the starting precursor. You can use this to calculate the mass of the nanorods per ml, and use this to add specific volume for your procedure.
