I am graduate in mechanical engineering and having no background in research. I worked in industry and mastered on couple of CAD softwares and structural analysis in ansys. I want to get published some research papers but having no idea on which topics should i work, whats trending and can be done successfully. anyone can help or collaborate ?

If you really want to publish something, you should join a Society like ASME or whichever you want. Then work on a committee that you have interest in. As part of the committee you will be able to jointly author papers on the areas you select. There is lots of work on robots, Batteries, AI, Materials, cad database use and it goes on and on. Most people like to be way to technical and not helpful. Start with helping others to understand what you know.
There are many fields that are trending, I suggest you to consider the wind turbine blade design, biomedical implants design, smart material devices as magneto-rheological clutches and brakes, and of course MEMS as @Mahesh Nagarkar mintioned
This is depending on what fields you are working in or interested in. For example in medical sciences a lot of research topics are available. This is variable.
