I think both go hand in hand. If you are wealthy but not educated you will not know how to make good use of your wealth and even end up losing everything.
I agree, it's good to have wealth but how do you want to use it? It needs education? Even an billionaire lost every thing he/she has if doesn't know how to use them. Knowledge learns you, teach you how to earn money, but money never learns you how to earn knowledge, It just helps you to have some respect.
though a similar question was already discussed on RG - I will repeate :
the answer depends on AGE. In younger years - education is more important because it provides a number of opportunities when hunting for a good job. In older years - clearly - wealth is more important.
Wealth allows you to pursue many projects, largely unimpeded, but institutional education is just a tool. An autodidact may successfully achieve the overall insight of even the best scholar, be equally educated. Wealth can be harder to obtain than education.
Wealthy people discover their money was good for nothing only when it is too late. They are able to offer all they have acquired only to live a little bit more. An educated person can enjoy life and understand it much better. They can even change the world with their knowledge.
Both are good & important. However, to me education is part of wealth & we should pursue education first & wealth will come. Moreover, with educated mind we know how to maintain the wealth if not to expand it. Without educated mind, wealth can be lost easily & no foundation to build wealth as education is subset of wealth. We can look around wealthy countries generally have good education system.
In principle Education is better than material Wealth
With Education, a person with cognitive, spiritual and axiological wealth is obtained or built.
Only with material wealth, it is not ensured that a person changes and is educated or developed through education.
The ideal would be that a person through education get spiritual wealth, cognitive and axiological; or in the best of cases, that a person with material wealth, for example by family inheritance, achieves through education to be a better human being.
Dear David Adu Sarfo, I agree, it's good to have wealth but how do you want to use it? It needs education. Even an billionaire lost everything he/she has if doesn't know how to use them. Knowledge learns you, teach you how to earn money, but money never teach you how to earn knowledge; It just helps you to have some respect.
Education not only teaches the aspects of earning money but also the way to converse with the another person. This improves his communication skills that create him to have a ideal personality in society rather than lavish one. As the one is able to communicate better than he has the clients too, that will make him rich. So that person gets two things at a time wealth and value (respect).
If we lack education we will not be able to: 1.Get jobs 2.Support our families 3.Live a proper life 4.Build a better future So we need to make sure that we take young kids to school to encourage mind development and possibly make the world a much better place to live.
Children should get education so they become wealthy in future Do not fish for the child but teach them how to fish for themselves, children should go to school so they can become good leaders in future. Train up a child in a way he or she will not depart from it in future.
If u give a Man a fish..U feed him for an evening..But if u teach him to fish u feed him for lifetime...Without education u can't make money..And if u have money then u can't spend it in a right way until u have knowledge... Education is a movement from darkness to light..
Clearly, education is more important. And even more clearly, too much wealth is counterproductive. Becoming way more wealthy than necessary does not lead to a great life. It's an obsession and it consumes people. On the other hand, most mortals will have a really tough time acquiring "too much education."
I also agree with those who point out that wealth may not last, without education to know how to manage this wealth.
I agree with Prof. Adriana and Dr. Harry. Education is the seed to wealth.
Wealth without education is having a brand new car without good training on how to drive. Its owners without education, mostly end up in accident, total bankruptcy!
Wealth remains a necessities with power of comfort & also covering social standing but at the same time it is very much certain that wealth may not be all the time lasting & it can generally pass his way thru your treasury .
Education can never be compared with anything as it has remain with us till the time of our final journey & as such both the wealth & education cannot be placed in the same line .
The best answer can be found in the well-known proverb: do not give me fish, teach me to fish. Or "Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day.Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.
"Fish" represent a sort of wealth, but "teach to fish" or "how to fish" represents education. It is your choice.
Education is what prepares everyone to become rich, no one become wealthy without the strong force of education. Its very important you get education and come wealth
absolutely wealth is better...if u have enough money u can read in educate in any field that u enjoy...but when u don't money...i propose u see the Wolf Of Wall-street movie...
