Last September 19, 2015 we were camping in Riding Mountain National Park, Manitoba, and when I got out of the tent at 2 am or so it was so light in the woods, I didn't need a flash light to make my way down the road to the facilities. I looked up and thought the white clouds were so light, and as I walked to the open road, I realized they were not clouds but rapidly moving white auroras unlike any others I had ever seen. They filled the whole sky, literally, all moving at once a few long streams at times like one ordinarily sees but moving so much more rapidly, at first I did't recognize them as aurora, but I then woke my spouse up to come see and we watched this amazing show for the next two hours, continuing to be so exciting. I tried to get a photo and even though it looked light, nothing really showed up on my iPhone. We got the camera Nikon D300 and when we took the photos towards the end, they did look green in the photo, but not with our naked eye. Now we've seen the slow moving kind that are moving and gorgeous and different colors, but never ones looking all white and moving like this. I've only seen over my lifetime about 5 Auroras when we've visited and camped out for weeks in Canada. So this seemed unusual. I've never seen any photos like we saw. It needed a video and panorama camera to really capture the breadth of the phenomena, but I'd think it might not show up. Thanks for any info.
