I am working on an experiment using Ulva lactuca as a substrate. At first I place 5 grams in 100 ml 0.4 N HCl .After this I added cellulase the reducing sugars rose to about 34 mg/ml. After getting this result I increased to volume to 1 L but the same concentration as before 5% (50 g in 1000 L) the concentration of reducing sugars changed to 136 mg/ml. I am not sure if this is accurate as I believe the concentration should be same as before around 34 mg/ml. Really looking forward to your response.
