I am doing it right now as a scaffold as well.

I am not working on alginate based but chitosan based scaffold, am of the option that there OH group will also bonding, so try co-polymerisation of the two.

Alginate cannot be electrospun by itself and is often co-spun with poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO).

generally the universal solvent water used to dissolve alginate.

I dont know about other solvents,
