When using bacon function in R for age modelling a red curve representing the "best model" appears in the graph. Can this curve be expressed as an equation?
You can try with software SPSS too to find others model equation (Inverse, Logistic, Exponential, cibic, power, compound, S, Growth, etc.). Maybe one of these model can give a good equation.
Thanks for sharing your time in the answer of my question. The Bayesian Analysis of Pb Dating link and the latest Bacon's manual (I had an old version) helped me to understand better how the function works. Someone asked me about the model fit, but I think it would be enough with the result of the percentage of dates that overlaps with the age depth model at the set probability (95%).
