For community based participatory research we put the 'members of the community' at the centre of the model. Adopting the golden circle model of 'Why-How-What' helps us synthesizing the policy level, procedure level, and operational level action items for identifying our research questions, methodologies, and deliverables. Extrapolation of this model into our research has been yielding greater efficacy and insight. At this level we are very interested to know about any validity analysis of this inspirational leadership model for using in research.
So far I am unaware if there is a validated model. But I suggest that questions why? How? and what? Assigned a relative weight in terms of the objectives of the research in order to provide an analysis of validity

Dear K M Alamgir: I share with you their proposed model of research, according to my experience and what I've been in the past 35 years. His proposal is a synthesis of the comparison of the scientific model used in research science hard as physics, chemistry, etc., and the hierarchy of models, methodology used in the research of social sciences, enriched with the classic administrative procedure proposed by Taylor and Fayol in the field of Administration (planning, organization, integration, direction and evaluation). In particular I use to research projects which designate as the philosophy of the design of the experiment which contemplates a similarity to what you are proposing.
I want to give you an example where you can use the three questions in an other context. We are validating a questionnaire called Leader Intelligence Questionnaire(LIQ)based on Ronthy's theory called Leader Intelligence which means there has to be a balance between the spiritual intelligence(why), emotional intelligence(how) and the rational intelligence(what).Leadership as I see it starts with the question why which has to do with vision,meaning and purpose. How has to do with relations, to my self and others and finally , what to do. Shortly a balance between being and doing. Most leaders are trained in the"doing".The employees get their energy and motivation from the "why" and "how".
