I want to measure singlet oxygen generated by organic molecules under blue or UV light irradiation, however the most comon sensor DPBF undergoes photochemical degradation in this condition and I can't atribute his decrease signal to generation of singlet oxygen.
Do you know if there is some probe able to be used in this condition?
Hi, I am currently working with the generation of OH, O(1D) and O(3P) radicals by UV 185 nm radiation. To measure the concentration of radicals (mainly OH) we use a reaction of SO2 gas to H2SO4. In this sense, you can measure the decay in the concentration of SO2 an estimate the concentration of the radicals. There is a model which estimates OH, O(1D) and O(3P) concentrations but is focused to chamber reactions I do not know if you can use it for your work. This is the reference:

Alternatively and it seems to me much better to use registration of singlet oxygen generation by optical approaches (luminescence at 1270 nm).
