I want to publish two articles about nutrition and public health on Scopus indexed (quartile 1 or 2) below 500 USD. Anyone suggest me some journal on my topics.
The journal mentioned by Mahdi Movahed-Abtahi .-. says it costs $1,000 for articles (much less for short communications), so this is much higher than the question requests.
The https://www.scimagojr.com site of Emad Kamil Hussein has some good information on rankings of journals, but they may have high costs and after doing a search you will need to click on journal and then on that page you will find a link to the website. And then you need to find out about publications costs. A lot of effort.
Muktpal Bhalerao .- . While the www.ijcrr.com journal does appear to charge $250, I am concerned about it:
1/ Why does it show Elsevier on page 1 as it has no affiliation and they do not provide the citation information for the journal. The link actually shows an H Index value of 0.
2/ I cannot find the citation information (such as the ISI Impact Factor) and so the numbers on the web site should not be believed until someone can find a link (all the sites that should have had them do not seem to list this journal). Are these her to deceive people who do not check?
3/ When you pay to publish, you should get the copyright, not the publisher.
4/ I did not see a listing for 'commentary' on articles, but I will submit one and will report back as these are critical for quality journals. The article I found in my research areas appears to completely misinterpret the results of colony growth.
I would recommend that you consider looking in the www.doaj.org/search/journals? as they have extensive listings, they also provide good information (look at far right to see cost APC or if free, mostly up to date) and above the cost is the link to the website). So useful and 15,664 journals currently listed. Use the search bar at the very top, the left area you can type in 'public health' or 'nutrition' and then hit the search.
