I am a new PhD student and I am planning to have my research on teachers who are teaching and their Professional Development with Cambridge International Examination. I wonder if is there any research has been done regarding to teaching or learning of Cambridge International Examinations Syllabi (A/AS Level, IGCSE, Secondary or Primary Checkpoints) ? I couldn't locate any yet.

I would also suggest looking at the work of Guy (2000) IBMYP and IGCSE-are they really compatible? Part I - which, although dated, is a good starting point.

Having said that are you certain that there is any scientific problem for you to carry a research on Cambridge International Examination?

I think it is valuable to look at the Cambridge International Examinations' teaching, learning and assessments; because they claim that they are serving 10000 schools at 160 countries (probably the total number of students who enrolled to those schools can be comparable to a small to midsize population country). It is a pretty good size operation, phenomena, or implementation. Another thing is, I am a full time school administrator and the school I am working for is a member of Cambridge International Examinations.
On the other hand though, it may not be so attractive or valuable to researchers because it is mostly implemented by the private/international schools, therefore compare to public education problems and matters it might have lesser value.
