Do you mean Public Finance research? Should be plenty of research available. Maybe i did not understand your question.

I also assume from you question that you are referring to research on public finances.  In the UK and Australia, public finances are critically reviewed by the National Audit Office and Auditor General's Office, both of which publish their findings and freely available.  Links provided below.
