I am currently writing my Master thesis w ith the tilte: Does sustainability correlate on the national and the company level? Empirical evidence from selected country cases.
I struggle to find any relevant literature to set up my hypothesis.
Would really appreciate some help.

Kindly clear the particular aspect of company level that you are working on.
Because there can be myriad ways of understanding between national and company.
You can cite Indian researchers who are working on both national development and company, industrial economy from p.o.v of sustainability.
Sustainable development has been emphasized on Educational level for teachers as well. Today education industry has a co-relation between teachers as mentors for preparing students for industry. Eco-industry, green enterprises, green organic market are few areas where you can find secondary resources. But first you must list all kinds of co-relation that can exist between national development and that of company.
Interesting question, but a) the metrics used to define/measure 'sustainability' are different at national and company levels, so it will be hard to 'aggregate up' from one to the other; b) this could be a useful modelling exercise, rather than one based on empirical data (since I suspect you'll find very little to use); and c) why not simply discuss the issue and layout a research framework and approach to answering such a question, rather than try to find literature that will imperfectly allow you to deal with an answer yourself?

Vishakha Sen with company level I mean are the Companies in Country A sustainable if Country A is sustainable as a nation (e.g. Country A performs very well in regard of the SDGs)
Patrick Webb I discussed this with my supervisor and he suggested that I should investigate the correlation. I am aware that the metrics of sustainability are difficult to compare and I will have to compromise here. I am planning on using the MSCI ESG rating as a measure for the "company level" of the top 5-10 companies and map the dimensions there to the SDG framework. Then there is national performance data on the SDGs.
But before I can start my investigation I have to set up a hypothesis right? I need to see what is more likely according to the literature. But I cannot find any researchers that are direclty or indirectly investigating sustainability (or any part of its dimensions) on company and national level...
