Motivational climates like performance and task-involving climates but I mean that if there is any related questionnaire that is applicable for learning and for those students who have no experience and special skills.
Maybe the work of Carol Ames on classroom goal motivation could help you further? I have read studies that also examined classroom goals in higher education.
Marjan, I had read it, I am thinking about a questionnaire that can measure motivational climate or autonomy support in related to learning. For example, for those who participate in sport classes: (i.e., those adolescences who participate in sport classes like football, badminton etc).
Ames`s research is related to goal classroom motivation and I am searching for sport motivation when participates want to learn special skills.
Hello. We have developed multi-dimensional measures (questionnaire based and an obervational system) of the motivational climate from a perspective which integrates dimensions drawing from a self determination theory and achievement goal theory respective. Both have been validated in the context of youth sport (see www.projectpapa.org, and recent volume of the Int J Spt Exercise Psych) and the papers re their development/valdation will be under review shortly. We are doing research now applying these assessment tools to the context of physical education.
Thank you for your interested in my question and your great papers in the Int J Spt Exercise Psych.
From your point of view, can I used this multi-dimensional measures (questionnaire based and an observational system) as motivational climates in learning a specific skill? I mean that is applicable this instrument for creating a motivational climate for learning skills, like soccer that you mentioned in your paper.
hi Behzad. Thanks for your interest. The papers validating the two measures in question should be 'in press' by Spring. Can share then if not too late.
