Is there any (both organic or inorganic) chemical, which is easily usable as a pyrolysis "internal standard" for TGA-MS? So, it will not evaporate immediately when evacuating the TGA chamber, but it will provide pyrolysis products of characteristic mass spectrometry signal and/or characteristic degradation temperature.

Moreover, the specificity will still work when performing pyrolysis of a mixture of soil and synthetic polymer (e.g. PET).

Unfortunately, naphtalene sublimes immediately when the TGA chamber is evacuated, by cysteine the specificity is somehow doubtful.

Thanks in advance,

Jan
